ChairmanMr. Muyiwa Akinbolagbe (Otunba)

Mr. Olumuyiwa Akinbolagbe (Otunba) is a Nigerian Business Magnate and philanthropist who is the Chairman and founder of the Chariot Group – a Lagos-based conglomerate with numerous operations in Nigeria and other countries. Muyiwa is the president of the Chariot Hope Foundation which promotes education and healthcare for those in need, in Nigeria.

Muyiwa Akinbolagbe established his first company, Infinity Investment, in 1994, a commodity trading company which engaged in the storage, trading and exportation of cocoa and timber. He founded the Chariot Group in 2005, and has held his position as Chairman since its inception.

Muyiwa started his early education in Ilesa and proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he graduated in Computer Science with Economics and he finished with Honors in 1993.

In 1994, after completing his university education, Muyiwa co-founded the Infinity Investments, where he served as CEO. As an international marketer of cocoa and timber, the company became a big player in the Nigerian stock exchange market. In 1999, Muyiwa left Infinity Investment to join Microtrend Nigeria Limited as Managing Director and CEO. He was a Director of National Bank of Nigeria where he played a vital role in the successful merger of the bank with Wema Bank, creating value for both the shareholders and the customers. During his time at National Bank, he was also active in Petroworks, an indigenous oil and gas company, co creating value and local content development in the oil and gas industry.

Following his exit from Petro Works, Muyiwa expanded Chariot Group to include environmental services and offshore dredging. The company, which is a diversified conglomerate, consists of independent businesses that cover infrastructure development, financial solutions, oil & gas, property development, agribusiness, information technology solutions, automobile distribution and entertainment in Nigeria, United Kingdom and parts of the United States. Dredging. In 2013, Chariot Development introduced an online auction platform that allowed its users sell or bid for products and services via the internet. He is a member of both the Institute of Directors and Institute of Management, Nigeria.

Muyiwa is president of the Chariot Hope Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Chariot Group. It was founded in 2008. The non-profit organization has a range of social initiatives focused on Healthcare and Education. The foundation carries out its philanthropic mission by donating to and partnering with institutions and hospitals in Lagos including, Gbagada General Hospital, Boys Remand Home, Girls Remand Home, Cerebral Palsy Centre and LUTH Pediatrics Department & Old Peoples

His philanthropy, which also included community mobilization and conflict resolution,earned him recognition as Otunba Arowosafe of Epe, in Lagos and Otun Oba of Ilesa in Osun.

Muyiwa is a member of Ikoyi Club, Yoruba Tennis Club, Island Club Lagos and the Metropolitan Club, Lagos. He is a golfer and happily married with Kids.
